the biggest mistake

YOU ARE DOING WITH YOUR PRICING

The biggest mistake with pricing.

Are you still using a PDF brochure to present yourself, your services and pricing?

Most of businesses, not just in wedding industry use a .pdf file to present their brand, services and pricing. Even though this is sort of the standard, we quickly realised there are some down sides to it, so we switched to online pricing.

There are several reasons why a standard PDF file is simply not good enough.

We are in the mobile phones era, so there is a big chance all your work, webpage and documentation is seen through a mobile phone’s screen.

This is great news! Our potential clients can view our work anytime.

The bad news is, if your website or documentation is not optimised for mobile phones, there is a big chance your potential clients will not bother with it and go to the next photographer.

Optimise Your Pricing?

THE ERA OF

MOBILE PHONES

PDF FILES ARE NOT MEANT TO BE

USED ONLINE

Like everyone else, we designed our pricing brochure as a .pdf file, but quickly realised this method of presenting our services and pricing has a few cons:

A PDF file is not mobile friendly. Customers have to pinch and zoom to read the tiny text, which is just more unnecessary work for them.

Sending a large PDF file can cause trouble with email servers and fills up your server space. And even worse, some customers might not even get the email.

How to Design Logo

WHY AN ONLINE BROCHURE

WORKS BETTER

Easier and faster to update – no need to ask your designer to make changes, or if you do it yourself, no need to find the files, make changes, export to pdf… You know how it goes.

Get more traffic to your website.

No need for a 20+ pages pdf with every tiny detail your client needs to know. Keep your brochure simple and short as possible, with just enough information. For extra information about products, faq, etc. just link to other pages on your website. The client can decide whether they need more info or not.

Responsive page that works best for mobile devices.

Simply include a link to the website into your email. If you don’t want public access, make the page accessible with a password.

SO HOW TO

DO IT?

It’s actually quite simple, as long as you are a bit fluent with WordPress (or any other platform you use).

Create a new page on your website and add the information there. You can include and update your images as you update your portfolio.

If you don’t want potential clients to see the prices before they reach out, simply don’t include the link to this page on your menu or anywhere else on your website.

To be extra sure, lock the page with a password.
